How to become a competitive boxer

In order for you or your child to obtain a boxing license which permits you/them to spar or compete safely whilst enjoying the cover of appropriate insurances, you/they are required to complete the following actions:

• Boxing medical - a medical is required to be conducted by an England Boxing licensed doctor.  Typically the cost of the medical is £20 cash paid to the doctor. Medicals can be arranged periodically throughout the season via the Poseidon boxing coaches.
• Registration on the Vault (www.englandboxinginsight.com) Instructions on how to complete this can be found below.
• Southern Counties membership fee - A fee of £5 per year is required for each boxer to cover the cost of Southern Counties administration. This fee can be paid in cash or cheque made payable to 'Poseidon Amateur Boxing Club'.
• Passport Sized Photograph - One passport photograph is required        for new boxers only.
• Identity Documents - All new boxers must present their passport or their birth certificate as proof of age.  Members aged 18 or over are only required to provide a photocopy of the document whilst members who are under 18 are required to provide their original documents.  Please rest assured that no document, original or otherwise will be sent in the post, it will be hand delivered and collected from the regional registrar. 

Registration on 'The Vault' Process for First Time Users

1. Go to www.englandboxinginsight.com. Once you have landed on the registration page select Member Registration.
2. If this is your first registration on The Vault, then check 'no' to the question      ‘Have you ever had a membership before on the vault?’
3. Enter First Name, Surname and Date of Birth of the boxer to be registered
4. In the Region box select 'Southern Counties'.
5. In the Club box select 'Poseidon ABC'.
6. Then enter a valid and active email address.  It is important that your      email is active as you will need to verify your registration, via this      email address, in order to complete the application. If you do not have an      email address, there is a link on this page to a website where you can      create a free account.
7. Then choose a password which must be between 6-8 characters and must contain at least one capital letter and one number.
8. Re-enter the same password again and click 'Register'.
9. You will see a green box that tells you that you have successfully registered      and offers instructions on how to verify your email address.  Go to your email inbox, find the email from info@englandboxinginsight.com (this      may be in your junk/spam folder) and click on the Confirm Email toggle.
10. Once you have verified your email address you will be permitted to log in to The Vault using the email address and the password you have previously chosen. 
11. Once logged in you will be taken to your account page.  There are a      number of tabs you are required to complete; fields marked with an asterisk are mandatory.
12. Once all mandatory fields have been completed click on Update Profile.
13. Once your profile is updated the system will show a Warning with the following message “You must have an active membership to use the      platform.  You can apply for a new membership under menu -      Member->Membership->New Application. Please refer any queries      to the Regional Manager”. Click on the Member tab to the left and then click on New Application.  
14. The next box to appear should show Poseidon ABC as your Club followed by a drop down box titled Membership Type.  There is a list of      different membership types – select the membership that best applies to      you.  (If you are registering to be a competitive boxer, please select ‘boxer’. DO NOT select recreational boxer).
15. Once you have selected the membership type you will be asked to complete your billing details. Once completed and you will see a Total Fee and an Expiry Date at the bottom of the box.  For a boxer the fee is £11, click on Apply. Please do not tick the box that says the club will pay for my fee.
16. A confirmation notification will appear telling you that you will be      redirected to a payment page.  Click Yes.  You then have the choice to pay by Credit Card, Debit Card or Paypal. Choose your preferred option and you will be required to enter your payment details. Once you have entered your details click Confirm Card Details.  
17. Once you have completed your payment, you will receive a receipt via the email address that you used to log on.  Ensure you keep this receipt safe as you will require it to obtain a refund if required.
18. Your online registration is now complete.

Re-registration for boxers with existing licenses (cards).

Previously registered boxers are to renew their England Boxing registration each year.  the boxing calendar year begins on 1 June and ends on 31 May. In order to continue as a competitive boxer, members must be in date for a boxing medical (12 month expiry), renew license via The Vault and pay £5 Southern Counties administration fee.
